| The
La Follette Archives and History Museum |
Our Goal is to educate
students about the history of our school and community by preserving
students’ own history and involving them in the preservation process.
Teachers and students have access to local primary sources in our
archives, which facilitates teaching history methodologies and encourages
students to apply them. By preserving the history of our school, our
students are actively involved in primary source analysis, and the
creation of a La Follette legacy for generations to come.
| "Our
mission is to collect, preserve and maintain the history of La
Follette High School and the community we serve." |
| Currently
we are the only independent public school archives in the nation... |
And the potential of our archives as a history laboratory for our
students—past, present and future—is exciting and inspiring for those
who study here. Our school archives serves not only our history students,
but has also brought together all La Follette students, faculty, staff,
and community members together with the purpose of preserving the history
of La Follette.
